The ErbaMDx SARS-COV-2 RT-PCR kit is a molecular diagnostic test that aids the detection and diagnosis of COVID-19 infections and is based on latest nucleic acid amplification technologies. The new assay is designed to improve detection and ease of use with a single tube multiplex mastermix, compatible with room-temperature storage and transportation. It is a real-time reverse transcriptase PCR test that has been developed utilizing universally trusted priming sites with updated primer sequences to maximize long term performance. Sample types include both nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swabs as well as saliva.
