The RIDA UNITY bacterial stool panel is a multiplex real-time PCR for direct qualitative detection and differentiation of Campylobacter spp. (C. coli, C. lari, C. jejuni), Salmonella spp. and Yersinia enterocolitica DNA from untreated human stool samples from individuals with signs and symptoms of acute gastroenteritis. The test is intended to aid in the differential diagnosis of bacterial infections in patients with symptoms of gastroenteritis in conjunction with other clinical and laboratory findings and is only approved for processing on the RIDA UNITY platform.
